THE JOURNEY BEGINS

Every day, the people I meet inspire me. — Michelle Obama
Thanks for joining me!
This is my first time blogging in quite a few years so it’s been exciting to catch up with how the various platforms have moved on (without making me sound sooooo ancient!).
This is a place where I’ll share things I've learnt with everyone, and motivational quotes and stories as they come up. I’m super excited to be sharing this journey with you!
I’m a 40 (something) mum of three; I have two girls aged 8 and 6 (who are growing up to be just like me, to keep me on my toes!), and a 20 year old son (who says he’s staying at home for ever, and I secretly wouldn’t have it any other way!).
I live in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds in the UK with my husband, my children, two rescue dogs and every other weekend my 3 step-children. Life is busy and full-on most days in our house, hence the need to be slightly obsessive about organisation! #
Where it all began…
In December last year I launched my new business, Your Organised Life, to help others to live their best lives possible, to be empowered to make necessary changes, and to ultimately be the very best version of themselves.
How I do this is through organising and decluttering; be it their home, work space, time management systems or their minds! Working in my clients’ homes or offices naturally brings in elements of interior design, so I utilise my qualifications in this area too.
I am also a trained lifestyle coach; often decluttering inevitably requires lots of coaching, and my clients will also come to me for individual coaching on a one-to-one basis.
So that’s what I do in a nutshell! You can head on over to my website if you’d like to find out more about me and what I do.
DIY just about anything!
I’ve always loved building websites, I’m no professional by any means, but it’s something I enjoy and it panders to my obsession over detail – I’ve had one website professionally built many years ago and I thought it was awful! From then on I’ve always built my own. I’m super proud of the end result for this website, it’s sleek, light and bright and minimal – very similar to my personal taste in interiors.
My inspirations… (some of them anyway, and in no particular order)…..
Obviously I love all things related to interior design, it’s been a passion of mine since I was a little girl, but my bedroom is my absolute sanctuary.
It’s warm in colour, cosy and peaceful, and absolutely no children’s paraphernalia to be found anywhere!
There’s a Japanese lady called Marie Kondo who has recently taken the world by storm (ok so maybe not the entire world, but those of us with an obsession for tidiness) with her particular way of folding clothes.
Here’s when I put her methods into practice, and to say I was impressed with how much you can fit into one drawer with this method, would be an understatement!
My good friend and personal happiness Guru, Sue Stone. She has literally transformed my life into one of constant happiness, positivity, and endless motivation!
She has empowered me to not only live my best life possible, but also to teach her methods of positivity to help others change their lives too.
That's all for this post. This coming Sunday I'm going on a 3-day Ayurveda Retreat so stay tuned for the highs and lows of that in my next post.
Have a great weekend,
